HELEN Y. DEE AMONG FORBES ASIA'S 50 POWER BUSINESSWOMEN OF ASIA
RCBC Chairperson Helen Y. Dee has made it to Forbes Asia Magazine's 50 Power Businesswomen of Asia list. She is the first among three Filipinas to be cited in the lineup at Number 32 (list is done alphabetically among countries) and is also among 27 new entrants to the prestigious roster. The accompanying write up in her entry says:

The eldest of 8 children of Philippine businessman and former ambassador Alfonso Yuchengco, Dee runs the Yuchengco Group of Cos., which operates in sectors ranging from education and travel to construction and financial services. The key subsidiaries include flagship RCBC, one of the country’s top 5 commercial banks, with 6.5 million customers, 449 branches and a market cap of $1.5 billion; Malayan Insurance, the nation’s largest non-life insurance firm, with $565 million in assets in 2013; and construction concern EEI, which had 2013 revenue of $237 million. Dee says she is more conservative than her risk-taking father, now 92. The family ranks 23rd on the FORBES ASIA rich list for the Philippines with $685 million.
