Client Advisory: Regulation on Large Value Cash Transactions

In accordance with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Circular No. 1218 or the Regulation on Large Value Cash Transactions*, over-the-counter (OTC) cash withdrawals and payouts are now limited to P500,000 per day (or its foreign currency equivalent), effective on October 7, 2025, Tuesday.

This directive aims to increase safeguards against money laundering and promote safer cash transactions across all financial institutions.

For transactions exceeding this limit, clients are required to submit additional identification information and/or proof of legitimate purpose or transactions.

For larger value transactions, we encourage the use of the following channels:

- Check payments

- Direct deposit to recipients' account

- Fund transfer via over-the-counter and RCBC's online channels (i.e. RCBC Pulz, RCBC One Corporate, RCBC Boz)

Clients with large transactions are also encouraged to advise their branch at least one (1) banking day in advance to facilitate processing.
