ELIGIBLE DEPOSITORS TO BE INSURED
The following are the eligibility requirements of a qualified client for the FREE Life Insurance benefit:
1. A Filipino Citizen or permanent resident of the Philippines;
2. 18 to below 66 years old*
3. Actively-at-Work or Performing Normal Daily Activities;
4. RCBC Depositor who meets all of the following criteria:
- Is enrolled as an RCBC Hexagon Club Privilege/Priority member;
- Maintains a total relationship average daily balance (ADB) of at least P100,000 from all active Peso and/or Foreign Currency Deposit Unit (FCDU) Checking and/or Savings Account/s (CASA)**
5. Must continuously sustain the minimum maintaining balance required by the Policyholder;
6. Must not close his/her account during the coverage period; and
7. A natural person
*Hexagon Club Privilege/Priority clients should be at least 18 to below 66 years old to be eligible for Life Insurance coverage
**Eligibility for the complimentary group life insurance is evaluated on a strict month-to-month basis depending on the latest six (6) months’ Total CASA ADB (comprising both Peso and Foreign Currency Deposit Unit (FCDU) accounts) of the client as a Hexagon Club Privilege/Priority Member. Balances from dormant accounts are strictly excluded from the ADB computation for insurance eligibility. FCDU account balances shall be converted to Philippine Pesos (PHP) using the Bank’s prevailing exchange rates at the time of the monthly evaluation. The Bank shall not be held liable for any reduction in coverage amount or loss of insurance eligibility arising from foreign exchange fluctuations.
As an express condition precedent for this complimentary privilege, the member agrees that in the event of death, the ADB computation for the month of death shall strictly encompass the entire calendar month. The member’s final eligibility and the corresponding coverage amount shall be determined based on the total ADB calculated up to the last day of the calendar month in which the death occurs, inclusive of all account activities within said month. Consequently, any withdrawals from the member’s accounts prior to the last day of the month of death – even if lawfully executed by authorized heirs or the estate – will mathematically impact the ADB and may result in a reduction of the coverage amount or the total forfeiture of the insurance benefit.
For clients maintaining accounts linked to more than one Customer Information File (CIF), the computation of the Total CASA ADB for life insurance eligibility and coverage amount shall strictly abide by the Bank’s prevailing account aggregation guidelines. The Bank reserves the exclusive right to determine which accounts and CIFs are linked and consolidated for the purpose of assessing the Hexagon Club Life Insurance benefit.
Note: Individuals with suspected or actual violations of Anti Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing laws are not eligible for the FREE Life Insurance Benefit.
AMOUNT OF INSURANCE
Each eligible Hexagon Club Privilege/Priority member shall be insured for an insurance coverage which is equal to 100% of the 6-month running Average Daily Relationship Balance (ADB) of his/her Total CASA (comprising both Peso and FCDU accounts) upon enrollment to Hexagon Club, subject to the following:
1. For newly enrolled Hexagon Club Members, including those enrolled for one (1) month or less, the maximum Life Insurance coverage is capped at PHP2,000,000. For existing members enrolled for more than one (1) month, the maximum Life Insurance coverage is capped at PHP5,000,000.
2. For clients maintaining accounts linked to more than one CIF, the Total CASA ADB shall be attributed as follows:
2.1 For 'In Trust For' (ITF) accounts, the ADB will be attributed solely to the Primary CIF.
2.2 For all other joint and business accounts (including Joint-AND, Joint-OR, 'Doing Business As' (DBA), and accounts with no defined mode of operation), the ADB will be divided among or attributed to the linked eligible CIFs in accordance with the Bank's account attribution rules.
| Mode of Oper | CASA ADB Attribution |
| No Mode of Oper Definder | Divide CASA ADB among all linked eligible Hexagon Club tagged CIFs of the account |
| Joint-AND | Divide CASA ADB among all linked eligible Hexagon Club tagged CIFs of the account |
| Joint-OR | Divide CASA ADB among all linked eligible Hexagon Club tagged CIFs of the account |
| Doing Business As (DBA) | Divide CASA ADB among all linked eligible Hexagon Club tagged CIFs of the account |
| In Trust For (ITF) | Attribute CASA to the Hexagon Club tagged Primary CIF only |
3. Coverage will be equal to the running Total CASA month-to-date ADB of the client from his/her month of enrollment to Hexagon Club Privilege/Priority. In the event of the member’s death, the running Total CASA month-to-date ADB for the month of death shall be computed up to the last day of the calendar month in which the death occurs, inclusive of all account activities within said month. By accepting this free privilege, the member explicitly agrees that this month-end calculation is the sole and binding condition for determining both eligibility and the final benefit amount.
Note: "Hexagon Club Enrollment Date" is defined as the date of first-time enrollment in the Hexagon Club for new clients, or the date of latest Change in Hexagon Club Membership Type for existing clients, as reflected in the Bank’s system. In case of "Change in Hexagon Club Membership Type", it includes any upgrade, downgrade, or amendment to the membership type in Hexagon Club (whether initiated by an existing client or the Bank) based on the Terms and Conditions.
